Fresh from the oven Streusel Topped Pumpkin Pie.

What could be more awesome than pumpkin pie on Thanksgiving?

Streusel Topped Pumpkin Pie!

It’s a subtle twist on the normal. And so easy to make!

Make your pumpkin pie like normal. Put it in a hot 425 degree oven and bake for fifteen minutes. Meanwhile, here’s how to create some magic…

Streusel Topped Pumpkin Pie

 ¼ c. packed brown sugar

2 T. all purpose flour

½ t. cinnamon

2T. cold butter

¾ c. finely chopped walnuts or pecans

In small bowl combine the dry ingredients, then cut in the butter until crumbly. After the pie has baked for 15 minutes remove it from the oven and carefully sprinkle the streusel mixture over the pie.

Reduce the oven heat to 350. Return the pie to the oven and bake for 40 minutes or until set.

Enjoy!

Do you do anything to jazz up a plain ole pie? I’d love to hear it!
